"Matching" or "matching exercise" is a common way to refer to a type of question or exercise in which words or phrases from one list are matched with words or phrases from another list. These types of exercises can also be called "matching pairs" or "match-ups." In English, the instructions for a matching exercise may say something like "match the words in column A with the words in column B."
